End of the World? Betelgeuse, lights out just yet.

A rendering of Betelgeuse on a Supernova Explosion

When will the world ends? A question everyone is so skeptic about and would go any public hysteria just to prove a prediction. The world will end on December 2012, this, according to the Mayan calendar which coincidentally ends on the said date. That is just one of them. Here’s another one, Betelgeuse is about to burn all its fuel and would burst to a biggest firework display in the universe. A supernova, I mean. Just about anything, you could relate the worlds demise and how it would cease to exist. Natural disaster, great wars with man-made super-weapons and of course, cosmic powers. Intense solar winds that would turn the earth into an oven. For that idea, I say Betelgeuse is the perfect candidate. For distance of Billion light-years away from earth, it would be long till we experience a supernova firework display across the sky or just a simple random occurrence that could get us by surprise. Betelgeuse fate is just a matter of time and spontaneous possibility. Just as the world will surely end. No one can tell to when.

Funny it may seem, May 21, 2011 the world as we know would cease to exist at exactly 6 pm. Rapture or judgement day, Harold Camping seems sure and postponed it other wise. Hmmm. . .talking about Betelgeuse with an on/off switch. Maybe E.T. have decided to delay the great show in the sky after all.

Lights out just yet. Betelgeuse and the end of the world is unlikely and I think no one is so precise about the prediction so far.

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”(Matthew, 24:36)
